Bribie Island Surf Club refurb, Adele LetfordThe work involves Corporation Technologies advising industry on innovation and development, setting up project contracts, training students in project planning and management, and ensuring the successful outcomes of projects undertaken. Corporation Technologies actively recruits and services an extensive client base (drawn from industry and government) on behalf of the various universities' schools and divisions involved in the scheme. The client base includes many SME's who find the hands-on approach to project management and low cost of CEED ideal for small development projects that would not otherwise be considered viable.

CEED Program Qld has been managed by Corporation Technologies since 1994 (and by the Director, Graham Willett, since inception in 1992) and has shown steady growth over this period. Since 1992 CEED has undertaken over 800 industry-based projects and currently conducts approximately 80 projects per annum, awarding a similar number of student scholarships. CEED is now a respected leader in South-East Queensland, Australia for industry-based training of senior undergraduate (and postgraduate) students from the University of Queensland (UQ), Queensland University of Technology (QUT); the University of Southern Queensland (USQ); and the University of Sydney (USYDNEY).

Since 2002, Corporation Technologies has also, in conjunction with the Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering; and The Faculty of Information Technology at QUT, introduced a managed program for industry-based Master of Engineering and Information Technology (Research) candidates. Companies sponsor new Graduates through the Research Masters program, and the candidate uses a corporate R&D project as their thesis topic. Candidates (engineers and IT professionals) are assessed for entry into the Masters program on the basis of both qualifications and industry experience.

Corporation Technologies provides industry and government with extensive access to university resources in the fields of engineering, science and information technology through student projects, assistance with project planning and management; and advice on planning for corporate R&D. In conjunction with IP company, Living Business Systems (Aust) P/L, Corporation Technologies can provide training and expertise in the analysis and design of complex/business processes with the aim of cutting costs, improving efficiencies and marketing better products.
