Established some 25 years ago in Brisbane, Janda Furniture has grown to become one of Australia's leading manufacturers of lounge and dining chairs. In 1998, Mr Matthew Hodge, a Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Queensland undertook a CEED project with Janda Furniture. His project was concerned with improving the initial cutting stage of production by introducing new information and management technologies to the company. He also investigated the implications of these new technologies on product design. Mr. Paul Reinhardt of Janda Furniture was Matthew's supervisor.
