Ms Bronwyn Norrie (mathematical sciences @ QUT) utilised a spectrophotometer at Boral Roofing to accurately measure and analyse data on colour of roof tiles during the process of manufacture at their plant in Carole Park. The introduction of this new technology gave Boral Roofing greater control over the quality and consistency of tile colour during manufacture and a leading edge capability in the design of new product. Bronwyn was employed by Boral at the completion of her project. Mr John Braga, Engineering Manager Boral Roofing, was Bronwyn's company supervisor.
