Project Background / Description

The Wellican Platform was conceptualised after exhaustive research into the Australian health and fitness industry – and we continue to consult closely with our target markets to ensure a we create a product that will make a profound difference to our users’ lives.

Having concluded an initial 12-month research, conceptualisation phase of the Wellican Platform, we have now progressed to the prototype build phase.

As such, we require talented, driven, and intuitive web developers to build the first functioning iteration (prototype) of the Wellican Platform.

It is our intention to show this first platform iteration to prospective investors/government bodies and seek funding for further development.

We are currently working with a UX/UI Specialist to create a website wireframe, which will inform the overall design of the platform.

From a high-level functionality perspective, the platform will include elements of a publishing platform (such as Medium); a professional network (such as LinkedIn); a directory/comparison website (such as Mindbody); and a forum.

Some key competitors in this space have been identified as the following:

Wellican is a Brisbane-based startup, founded in 2018 by fitness enthusiast and marketing communications expert Josh Campbell. We believe that all Australians should to be able to live healthy, fulfilling lives – and we’re working towards helping achieve that reality.

Over the past 12 months, we have developed a concept for an online platform to meet the unique needs of Australian wellness seekers, as well as the fitness, health and wellbeing professionals who rely on their business.
